iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus can only be updated as far as iOS 12.5.7

iPhone 6s can only be updated as far as iOS 15.7.3

If you want to run iOS 16 versions, you will need a new phone

The iPhone 6 cannot be updated to iOS 16. The hardware is not capable of handling it.
