Unable to pair Apple Watch to replacement iPhone

I just send my iPhone in for repair (battery issue), they were unable to fix it and send me a new iPhone, but I didn't unpair my Apple Watch and have still been using the watch in the past few days.

Now I can't pair it with my new iPhone, but I don't wanna erase the watch because my first marathon workout is still on the watch.

I'd like to know can I get (or export) the workout without a paired iPhone?

Assuming you made a backup of the old iPhone (to iCloud) before you sent it in, see the 'If you don't have your old iPhone or you erased it' section in:

How to pair your Apple Watch with a new iPhone - Apple Support

You should have3 made a backup of your iPhone according to:

Get your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch ready for service - Apple Support

If you don't have a backup of the old iPhone, then I am afraid you will lose any watch data. Here are two ways to unpair your watch if you no longer have the paired iPhone:

  • See the 'How to erase your Apple Watch if you don't have your iPhone' section of:

Unpair and erase your Apple Watch - Apple Support

  • With a web browser, go to: https://www.iCloud.com and sign in with your Apple ID. Open Find My iPhone and select All Devices (at the top). Then click your Apple Watch, select 'Erase Apple Watch', and select Next until the device is erased. Finally click "X" next to remove your Apple Watch.
