Can you install your iPhone remote for Apple TV without having to enter the four digit code? I have lost my Apple remote.
is there any way around this problem?

You must not enter the code on your TV, but on your iPhone. When connecting your iPhone to your Apple TV, a 4-digit code should appear on your TV, which you enter on your iPhone, and then you are connected.
Open the Remote app from the Control Center. Select your Apple TV at the top and the code should appear on your TV. Just make sure you're on the same Wi-Fi with your iPhone as you are with your Apple TV.
You can also try using a different remote. My remote for my Samsung TV can also control my Apple TV. It worked out of the box.
