I had got a phone from a friend and when i had turn the phone on and stuff it had said iphone locked to owner and i had texted her and she gave me her icloud and password and it would not work is there a way that you guys can help me unlock it ?

No. Only the owner of the account used to lock it can remove the activation lock.
