Upgrading Sierra OS - How to locate the new OS

The information attached below shows the steps that would be involved in upgrading my Sierra OS IMac. (In

my case I want to install a second OS - Big Sur - on a separate SSD.) Thing is when I try and follow the steps listed in this Apple Support article they don't seem to work. When I search “macOS” on the Apple store site I can't find the Big Sur OS. Can anyone tell me the route to actually finding it?

Thanks.

John, doesn't this link do that?

What browser are you using...it should popup & ask to open the App Store to Big Sur's download page.

Hi.

I think I have all the information that established my computer can be upgraded to Big Sur. My problem is locating where on-line I can find that OS to download. In my first post I attached information from an Apple Support site that purported to show me how to do that, but I'm afraid following it does not lead me to a site where I can download. Perhaps that article is out of date. So, as I say, what I was hoping was that someone could lead me to the proper Apple site for downloading Big Sur.
