I’ve changed the email associated with my Apple ID, but when I try to update any of my Apps, it always asks me for my password associated with my old email that no longer exsists. How do I change the email in the App Store?

Did the local Apple Store with the very helpful Genius staff, also have log you out of the App Store (old Apple ID) and then log back in with your new one?
My new email and password work with everything except the App Store. The App Store still attempts to use my old email and I don’t remember the old password associated with that email. I spent over three hours in the local Apple Store with a very helpful Genius, but he was not able to help with a solution to this problem. Very frustrating!
