AirPods Pro (2nd generation) have a volume adjustment on the AirPod itself.

Eg: You might want to check the volume control on the AirPod that has no sound.

For Mac

MacOS before Ventura:

Check: Apple Menu > System Preferences > Sound >

check or experiment with the the left / right balance-slider.
