how to change the background color of collage created in pages version 4.3
Created a collage in pages version 4.3 and want to change the background color. How is that done?

If your collage is a cluster of grouped images, then just insert a rectangular shape and enlarge to the size of the document body. Then fill it with your color choice. Finally, you send that shape to the background behind your collage.
