upgrade 1.3 GHz Intel Core i5 to os 13

I have a macbook air 1.3 GHz Intel Core i5. can I upgrade this mac to macOS Catalina or newer. Software updates reports no updates available .

You can upgrade to Big Sur.

You can find it here: How to download macOS - Apple Support

Be aware older 32bit apps will need updated or replaced.

You can find out which ones using Go64.
