If purchased directly from Apple, in most countries/regions you have 14-days within which you can return an unwanted device for exchange or refund. This generous offer is in addition to any statutory rights that may exist.

After 14-days, the opportunity to unconditionally return the item to Apple for exchange/refund is lost.

If instead you purchased from an independent retailer, you will need to check the retailers own returns policy.

If you purchased it directly from Apple, you have 14 days to return it. If you purchased it somewhere else, ask the retailer you bought it from what their return policy is.
