Have you tried a force restart. It usually takes a couple of times to get the key sequence right.

Plug it in (pc or Mac) or a charging cable. Press volume up then volume down then press the volume down and the side button at the same time and keep them pressed until the screen turns off but continue to hold untill the apple appears. Release the side key after four seconds but continue to hold the volume a few more seconds and itll goes into recovery mode. You can then release and if you need to restart it simply hold the side key until the screen turns off.
