Where do i go to check Apple Pencil 3rd Gen Battery level? It has disappeared from my iPad pro 10.5, plugging it in doesn't do anything. I have checked a few places and i cannot find the battery level, i used to go to the apple pencil settings and it will also show there as well as up the top left corner of the screen. I only get a warning that the battery level is low.
There are only two models of Apple Pencil - the first generation (with a Lightning connector for pairing and charging) and the second generation (with no electrical connector, instead pairing and charging via the host iPad magnetic charging dock). Your iPad Pro 10.5” supports the first generation Apple Pencil.
As described, your Apple Pencil battery may have failed.

Be aware that if your Pencil has been set-aside for an extended period, unused and uncharged, the Pencil battery may now be irretrievably damaged through deep discharge. In common with all Li-ion batteries, they must always have some level of charge.
The tiny internal Li-ion battery is susceptible to permanent/irreversible damage through being left discharged for long periods. Even some “new” pencils can exhibit signs of failure out-of-the-box, especially if they are “old stock”.
It is essential that if you have an Apple Pencil that you charge it regularly - whether used or not - so as to protect the battery from deep-discharge. Do not allow a pencil to remain in low-charge state for any period of time - as the internal battery will fail, rendering the Pencil useless. Setting aside an unused Pencil, for extended periods, is a recipe for premature death of the Pencil battery.
If the Pencil Battery has failed, the only remedy is to replace the Pencil. If the battery has failed and your pencil is within its one-year warranty, you should look to having it replaced by your retailer or at an Apple Store.
Gentle warming of the Pencil (such as placing on a hot water radiator), prior to attempting charging of the Pencil, can sometimes resurrect a dead Pencil battery.

Thank you so much for your help, so i finally fixed it by restarting my iPad with the pencil plugged in and it worked, i got the pairing notification and i now see the battery level. Phew i was hoping i didn't have to take it back to the store i purchased it from as its near new. I do use it regularly and had put it in the drawer for a few weeks. Thanks again for all your help.
