I saw a pop up: “The recovery server could not be contacted.” when installing High Sierra.

I don’t know what the message “The recovery server could not be contacted.” means. Maybe it’s because I keep getting messages that my computer was restarted because of a problem.

Nowadays, I shut down my Mac to avoid this. I found a website to fix theat message, but it didn’t work. I have connected to my Wi-Fi network, got the correct UTC date and time, etc.

*sign* This is going to be a problem in the future. I guess I have to stay on the latest version.

How do you fix it so I can install High Sierra and upgrading to macOS Catalina? Please reply back.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 13.3
