Syncing playlist
Why, when I sync a playlist on my iPhone XR, does it sync all the music in the playlist but not the actual playlist itself?

ok, the first link seems to be for Mac users. I tried the second link but the screen shot it provides does not match with what my iTunes displays. as you can see, for some odd reason I get an iCloud option instead

Syncing a Created Playlist:
You cannot sync to another playlist, and then play off it, by default. Every time you want to play a desired file, you need to open the file.

I may have Misread your Thread:
It seems to me, you want to play your playlist off of another computer, as if it were shared. Are you asking how to do it? If you can do it?
no, what I'm trying to do is sync a playlist I created in iTunes to my iPhone XR.
