touch id not working

The Touch ID isn't working on my MBPro, late 2016, OS Monterrey 12.6.6. It won't allow for any fingerprints to be entered, swaying that it's full and I need to erase it from one of the other accounts. This is a new motherboard and a clean install of all software. The Apple techs can't figure it out. What can I do?
