Mac Mini 2012 - Reinstall Question.

I have a 2012 Mac mini that I wish to completely reinstall the Mac OS.

I have gone through the Recovery Mode partition, but this fails when it tries to Authenticate against my Apple ID.

I can't remember getting any Install disks with this Mac.

Anyone know a work-around?

Thanks.

That year mini shipped with either 10.8 Mtn. Lion or 10.9 Mavericks, but it can run any macOS up to and including 10.15 Catalina.

A bootable installer for Mavericks does not seem to be available from Apple for some reason.

Details for the others are in the link I provided above.

Why do you wish to reinstall macOS?

If you are attempting to reinstall so that you can transfer the Mac, then this: What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac - Apple Support

What version of macOS are you attempting to reinstall?

You might consider making a bootable installer on a USB flash drive.
