Apple TV

I have a very recent LG OLED smart TV and really like it, especially the picture quality but the streaming apps are not great. I added a Roku for streaming. Thought it was just me or maybe just LG but recently read an article reviewing smart TV streaming that recommended using a dedicated streaming device such as Roku or Apple TV rather that smart TV apps. They had some exceptions to that recommendation but can't remember what they were.

Some models TV can get the full Apple TV app, while other models can get the specialized Apple TV+ app. It depends on the exact series and year of manufacture, as agreed upon by LG and Apple. Apple TV+ is the subscription streaming section of Apple TV. Purchased shows are not part of Apple TV+. To see purchased shows, go to the Library section of Apple TV.
