Siri response

I have several contacts with the same first name and different last names. I just asked Siri to “text Mary” and her response was “you usually text Mary Smith” and it initiated a text to Mary Smith. I have only heard Siri ever respond 1) “what do you want to say” after she pulls up one of the many Mary contacts she assumes or 2) she has asked me “which Mary” before initiating a text. Yet I can’t get Siri to duplicate this response again. Does it track texts?

I don’t know if Siri tracks texts but there is a simple solution. You need to differentiate between those with the same first and last names. Here is what I do … I enter an additional identifier in the First or last name. For example, if I have two Mary Smiths, I may identify one as First name = Mary and last name = “Smith-friend.” This way if I want Siri to text or call the second Mary Smith, I say, “Text Mary Smith-friend.”
