Logic Pro not registering input

Logic Pro won't record from my Motu M6 or Studio Display Microphone. I have already gone through all the troubleshooting, and I talked to Apple support, who refuses to acknowledge that Logic is having trouble.

Logic Pro works with the iPhone as a microphone, and it works with the MacBook built-in microphone, but it won't use the Motu M6, and it won't use the studio display microphone.

Tried:

  1. Turned off and on the Logic Pro rights to the Microphone in Privacy and Security
  2. I stopped Logic Pro
  3. I deleted relevant plist files
  4. Restarted the computer
  5. I reinstalled logic completely
  6. I reset the logic settings to defaults from within Logic Pro
  7. The Motu M6 soundcard records fine in the following applications:
    1. Mainstage
    2. Garageband
    3. Steinberg Cubase 12 Pro
    4. Studio One 6
    5. Performer Lite
    6. Zoom
    7. Slack
    8. Google Meet
    9. Tuple
    10. Pretty much every other video and audio application that I have tried too

Specs:

  • MacBook M2 Max 2023 years model
  • Ventura 13.5 beta (as a desperate attempt to get Logic working as it wasn't working on 13.4)
  • Logic 10.7.8 (I also tried 10.7.7, which I copied from my Intel laptop, where everything was working)

Has anyone had any such troubles with logic before? I am kind of desperate to figure out what the **** is going on here

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 13.5
