After attempting to update to the latest software today, my macbook air 13 M2 is dead and unresponsive

Having issues with my Macbook air M2 after a software update. It is dead and unresponsive. Any ideas? It is new and I have never seen anything like this before

If you can start in recovery mode then start disk utilities and see if the drive can be checked and repair as required. You can also reinstall the OS without losing any data.
