My tab key no longer works in Excel. I know it is a software issue because I tried a separate keyboard and the same thing - I have an iMac M1, running Ventura 13.4. My keyboards are Magic Keyboards with and without the number pad.

If you look at the Accessibility settings, I think there are various shortcuts for turning things on. But in my experience it can also happen randomly. There are a lot of examples in the forums where users have had this problem without knowingly activating it (normally the symptom is space bar not working).

Make sure in your Accessibility settings you have Full Keyboard Access turned OFF
