just wondering what to do if my iPhone 8 is stuck on ‘verifying update’ for longer than 3 hours? Also, I’m unable to turn it off to try and restart the process. What options do I have? Thanks

The only update that will pass verification is an update to iOS 16.5.

thanks, that turned it off and now it says it’s currently on 16.5
so it’s verified then, I suppose..
If you’re using iOS 16.5, your iPhone is up to date!
