Troubleshooting Mac Mail:

New App Password:

Note that you might need a new App Password, being that Mail app is a third-party app. Sometimes, mail server syncing becomes and issue (particularly after installing an update), whith is what an app password is intended to fix: Sign in Using App Passwords - Gmail Help - Google Support
