My Mac says it’s not up to date but when I go to update it it says there are none available? I’ve scoured the Internet but have found nothing helpful. Got this Mac just last year (Brand new) Why is this happening and how do I fix it?

new macOS versions do not show up as updates you have to get them from app store
depending on the generation of your mac it may not support the latest macOS version
