trying to login on an older iMac and it will not pop up the six-number code box for the two factor verification

I try to login to itunes or icloud on my iMac and it will not show the two factor authentication box to enter the code. It tells me I need the verification code...but no place to enter it! :(

Put it just after the password. For example, if your password is abc and the code 123456, put abc123456 in the password field.

Codes are time-limited. If yours has expired, request a new one.
