2.0 USB DAW not recognized by MacBook Pro M1 2020, OS 13.4.1

PreSonus AudioBox 44VSL not recognized by MacBook Pro M1 2020, OS 13.4.1. I tried the USB-C Multiport adapter update however it wouldn't install.

Try a direct connection to your Mac. If you need an adapter, get a simple passthrough not a hub or dock.

No multiport anything.
