My iPad is not backing up. I accidentally wiped out my last one from last year because it’s been 8 months of no backups. What can I do now?

It said that this iPad can’t be backed up because no storage. But if I deleted what was in storage wouldn’t I have storage now. I was getting that message even before the wipeout. I need suggestions.

If you’re backing up using iCloud you’ll need to increase the amount of storage that you rent monthly. Or, you’ll need to backup the device to a computer that has enough storage space available
