Restoring Download to sidebar on MacBook

I recently updated my MacBook and lost the downloads option on the sidebar of Finder. How do I restore it?

go into Apple Menu > Finder > Settings, in the "sidebar" tab and put a checkmark in "Downloads".

if already selected, uncheck and then recheck "downloads". you may also need to relaunch finder.
