When you are approved for Apple Card you don't receive a physical card in the mail unless you request one after being approved. See: How to apply for Apple Card - Apple Support

You can request either a virtual number or an actual physical card.

What you get, depends on what steps you follow.

If you lose your physical card, you can request a replacement physical card. The lost or stolen one is de-activated.

If your virtual number is compromised, you can cancel it and generate a new one.
