Charging Apple MacBook Air MJVM2LL/A 11.6-Inch 128GB Laptop

May I use a (newer) USB-C to magsafe 3.cable to charge my older Apple MacBook Air MJVM2LL/A 11.6-Inch 128GB Laptop or must I use the 45W Magsafe 2 charger? I already have the charger, but I wish to know that I have a backup should I need it.

Earlier Mac models

Hi retireD62,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.

The USB- C to MagSafe 3 wouldn't work with your Mac model. It would be better to use the 45W MagSafe 2 power adapter for MacBook Air.

Regards.
