Live listen feature and external mic issue with GarageBand.

I would like an option to turn this off entirely so that GarageBand is the only source for live listening.

just recently i discovered that my voice could be heard in two places at once: iPad and while using GarageBand.

if it went away while using garageband, this wouldn’t be such an issue.

i tried turning it off but to no avail.

I learned more details. My external microphone (hyperX quadcast s)appears in audio devices and if I enable the [hearing] from [control Center], I see that live listening is greyd out (removing all the options won’t do anything) so I don’t know if it’s stuck on cause I hear my mic broadcasting audio to my headset like I’ve mentioned.

i want it not to do that and only do it in garageband. That’s what the mic playback feature there is for.

TLDR: i use usb c cable daisy chained between mic and ipad with 3.5 cable plugged into mic and it plays back my voice for no reason. It used to do it when I wanted to using apps such as GarageBand in older iPadOS versions
