how do I sync my contacts on my iPhone to iMac and iPad?

My iPhone has all of my main contacts - my iMac contacts does not show the same contact list AND has duplicates of the same contact - and it keeps growing! Help please!

The most simple method is to use iCloud! Make sure you turn it on the iPad AND the iMac!!
