Can music from my CD’s be stored in the cloud?

I stored all my CD’s on an old Apple laptop and when I replaced it everything copied over. But over the years I excluded it from backups to the cloud and Time Machine. My last laptop dropped dead without much warning. So can I backup my playlists on my iPhone to either the Apple cloud storage to drop onto the new laptop or to Time Machine?
