My Phone won't Turn on

My iPhone died and then popped up with the plug into Mac thing and it won't let me update. so I press restore it gets to the point where it trys to restart the phone and it shows the apple logo goes black and shows it again and then shows the plug into Macbook thing and then it says something like it had trouble with it and then says error code 4013.
