After iOS update unable to fix Oticon engage hearing aids pairing issue with iPhone

My hearing aids (Oticon Engage) have always paired seamlessly with my iPhone and iPad. Since the iOS 17 update, this function is lost - only one pairs at a time.

Previously, when pairing both hearing aids, a dialogue would appear on the screen offering to pair both L+R at the same time. This is no longer happening, and I have to select either Left or Right.

I am using an iPhone 13 Pro.

Please help!

Report the issue to Oticon support or look at their help site.

I went to my hearing specialist and they told me repairing them would not help. Offered to charge me 600.00 to send them back to the manufacturer. They told me I would have to buy a different type hearing aides. They have never worked the same since iOS 17.0. I no longer pair them to my phone. If they are not paired I have a hard time hearing outside or in the car. To much noise. Disappointed

This drove me crazy. Finally got something that worked from the (otherwise useless) Oticon Companion app:

Turn off and then re-start hearing aid.

Then on iphone go to Settings then Accessibility then Hearing Devices and it will look for hearing device. For the iphone found it after many previous tries when it wouldn't.

Still odd that if I go to Settings then Bluetooth my hearing aid does not show as connected, but it is.
