Beats Studio pro 2023 static noice in left ear (with anc)

Hello, about a month after buying the headphones, static noise started in the left earphone when the noise cancelling was turned on. When I turn off the noise - the sound disappears.

Please tell me what can be done? This static noise very annoying to me…

I’m having the same issue in the left ear. Cannot get it to stop. Have done all of the troubleshooting recommended. Did you ever figure this out?

SAME HERE. Got mine for Christmas and on Jan 25, exactly a month later, mine are doing the same thing. Frustrating and suspicious to see that these are not lasting more than a month for a lot of people, past the return period for a lot of retailers. What gives? Has anyone actually had easy success in returning/replacing? Another forum said warranty is a very long process :( sadly turned off to even get a replacement pair.

I have had my Beats Studio Pro headphones for less than a week and I am having the SAME EXACT issues everybody on this thread appears to be having. I started hearing what sounds like static, or almost the sound of the ocean in my left headphone. This is pretty annoying and pretty ridiculous given how much we pay for these. 🤦‍♂️

UPDATE: Bad experience: Folks at the apple store mailed the Beats in for free, since they're still under warranty. Once the shop received my headphones they said they saw cracks in the speaker which aren't covered under warranty, so I could pay like $150 - $200 (can't remember exact amount) for repairs. I decided it wasn't worth it so they mailed the headphones back and now I can't use noice cancelling, which is one of the main reasons I bought them in the first place. In sum, this has been a bad experience and I will never buy Beats again.

Greetings Avt0bus,

We're glad you tried resetting the Beats, as normally that is a pretty solid step to correct most issues. Make sure you have tried all the recommended settings as advised on this page:

It offers guidance for various audio issues and how to correct them. If the issue remains after these steps, you may want to reach out to Apple Support directly. You can reach out to them by clicking here: Get Support or over the phone by calling the number that is most local to your region: Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support.

Kind regards!

Update: Drove an hour to my closest Apple Store, and since they don’t do in-house diagnostics on Beats, they were shipped out to be looked at. Was told 5-7 days to complete the process to assess repair or replacement. Associate confirmed this is a very common issue for this model…

I asked what happens if the presumed replacement is defective again, and the associate said you only get a 90-day warranty (this does not get added to the original warranty period) and you cannot purchase Apple Care to extend the warranty further.

Update…I sent my headphones through Best Buy, like Apple instructed me. After a week without the headphones I get a message that my equipment was ready, when I go there, the report from Apple is that they couldn’t reproduce the problem. I was furious, they sent them back exactly the same!!!! Worst service ever. Then I call customer service using the headphones and the guy starts telling be that he can barely understand me, when I took the noise protection off, it was clear. Even their own customer service people could notice the problem, but apparently the apple technician doesn’t even know what they are doing. My equipment was purchased in November, this is too soon to be giving so much problems. Then the person on the phone started as usual, looking for ways to blame it on me, like if maybe was my phone, or the noise cancelling had too much around and had to produced that white noise to muffle the noise. I told him I have tried them with different devices and at the moment I was locked in my car alone, plus if is the NC system working, why would it produce the noise only in one ear? Is ridiculous at this point. I went again to best but and sent them again. Second week without them, an almost $300 equipment, that many clients are having the exact same problem, but they act like is isolated and a user error. Apple is trying to get another class action with the way they are treating this.

Mine was replaced after sending it twice. The first time they said they couldn’t reproduce the problem 😒. Then I called them using it and apparently the person in the other side of the call can also feel it, so I asked them to write a note and went back to Best Buy to send it again. They changed it this time. Super annoying because was like two weeks without it just because the technician couldn’t find the problem the first time, apparently didn’t even use them because it was painful at this point.
