I keep getting a widget pop up that is a system settings icon. It appears saying things like "you mac is attacked"/ "macOS virus detect" / "your Gmail is attacked", etc ). Then it says "click here." There is a bad site attached via the link. How do I go about fixing this issue? The internal widget pop up is troubling...

I am too! It started two days ago and I don't know how to get it to stop. I've updated my system and it stills popping up.
If the messages are showing as they were for the originator of this thread, the advice posted above still applies.
