Play music on iPhone, does not update plays or last played on Apple Music for Mac

Smed can you be more clear. Settings...ok. Where is DEVICE APPS. I do not see that and under Apple Music I do not see Permissions. Thanks for clearing up

Some people who download Beta 17.2 say this issues is resolved. I don't know how to download beta so I'll just keep my fingers crossed and wait...

The solution referred to by libertino85 above worked for me tonight. I’d be more specific but my post has already been scrubbed twice for referring to it.

I don't know how to download the B version... I'll just wait till December 11 for the actual 17.2 update and hopefully the issue is resolved.

I have the same problem. As well as a situation where some songs stop after 14 seconds... some but not all. The Genius Bar was not able to help with that. Frusssstrating.

I am still having a problem also... it worked and then it stopped working. My iPhone and iPad have not updated in 3 days. Is there a way to force an update?

12/21/23 Now my iPhone and iPad have not updated in over a week. My iMac is also not updating (I play music from my MacBook) Unacceptable. We pay for this service.

Mine had stopped working after the update to 17.1 in November but is working again after the update to 17.2.1. Yay!

ha - I have the exact same smart playlist and this has been driving me nuts.

The updating problem seems to be fixed but it can take up to 24 hours or longer. The 14 second problem still occurs but not consistently.

But if you stop syncing in your Iphone it warns you that all data will be deleted in that device!

And i have 16000 tracks in the library and 16GB downloaded onto my Iphone. How did you overcome this?
