iMessage SMS spam everyday - no phone number to block

I should mention, the carriers have the ability to block SMS and MMS messages that do not originate from phone numbers or legitimate short code senders. You may have to escalate your call several times to get someone who understands how to do that, but it can be done.

It’s not the same in the UK as it is in the USA. In the UK, the ways ID protocols work are different. Ofcom are looking at ways for carriers to ID and block spoofing (unless they’re legit companies). An international standards body came up with new ID protocols called "Stir and Shaken" that seem to work really well, so the US ordered carriers to implement them by the end of 2021. In the UK though, Ofcom have said the tech that supports voice services here needs to be upgraded first before it can be fully implemented. Those upgrades are due to be finished by 2025, so we’ll be waiting until at least then for any real solution.

Everyday for me too. Clicked block but messages still come. I guess it’s because there is no number to actually block.
