since my new update i am no longer able to swipe up to put on airplane mode orn my watch
i use to be able to swipe up on my watch to get the area with several options Airplane mode, theater mode etc no longer can do

That is correct. The Control Center is now accessed by pressing the flat oval button next to the Digital Crown.
