Screen sharing/broadcasting not happening on my ipad air

I got an ipad air in July 2023 for the first time to use it as a teaching device for online class. However I am unable to share my screen on platforms like MS Teams.

I added screen recording to the list in control centre from settings.

When I share my screen (start broadcast) from MS Teams it counts down and then nothing happens, it does not start recording/broadcasting. It does not turn red. I was able to then share the screen with my windows laptop.
