Looking for Apple Remote Desktop replacement

With the advent of Sonoma, Apple Remote Desktop is becoming really buggy. So I am interested in finding an alternative. We all know the RPD based products, in fact, we also use Teamviewer. But non of them (as far as I know) offers the major functions I use on a daily bases like issue Unix commands / shell scripts to our fleet or do a quick remote pkg installation. And I here you say: "just get an MDM." But for now that's not really possible.

So far I have not found any ARD alternative that can match Apple Remote Desktop. Any advise towards a decent ARD replacement would be much appreciated.
