How do I connect and access my Apple Time Capsule from Windows?

I have an old Apple Time Capsule with files from my previous Mac. Can I connect the Time Capsule to my Windows computer in order to access files currently stored on my Apple Time Capsule as if it were an external drive that I want to access with my Window computer?

Well, Windows 10 disabled SMB1 communications for very good security reasons.

Unfortunately, the Time Capsule uses SMB1 protocol to communicate with network devices, so you are going to see a connection error when you try to connect your PC to the Time Capsule.

Not recommended, but you might be able to access files on the Time Capsule hard drive if you temporarily enable SMB1 on your PC. There are numerous articles about this on a Goggle search....something like "enable SMB1 on Windows 10"
