I am having the exact same issue. It is completely ridiculous that you cannot just go into your account and update the expiration date and three digit code. I have now removed my old card and it still will not let me add my other card. Keeps saying "Unable to verify information". I have seen responses that this is a problem on the bank end, but that is complete nonsense as ALL of my other recurring monthly charges are working perfectly. Further, the message says to contact Apple Support - well good luck getting to an actual live person. I tried to schedule a call back and they said the first available time was two days from now. Are you kidding me? Meanwhile, I have a $50 account balance and it will not let me purchase an album on iTunes because I need to update payment info. They are literally holding $50 of my money which is far more than the cost of the purchase. I can't even download the FREE Apple Support app until the payment method is updated. I have been a big Apple supporter over the years, but this is just garbage.
