How to blacklist my device

Only the carrier can blacklist the device. You need the IMEI from the phone that was lost......not the IMEI from your "new" phone.

You have likely paid your carrier SKY for a number of months of service with your old phone. SKY has the IMEI for that phone that was lost. You may need to speak to a senior manager to get things done.

Bottom line.....your issue is with SKY....not Apple. Apple cannot blacklist the iPhone.

The only thing to do is to use Find my...in order to keep activation lock on. The thieves will be unable to activate the phone as long as you do not remove it.

Apple will not backlist the device, because it is up to the carrier to do this. You will need to sort it out with Sky.

Blacklisting is done by the carriers.

If you purchased the phone independently of your carrier, they probably won’t blacklist it.

This is a CYA move on their part. Since you didn’t buy it from them, they have no proof that you actually own the device.
