The IMAP command “APPEND” (to folder/subfolder) failed with server error: Cannot parse message (took 0 ms).

I bought extra space on iCloud and set up a custom email domain. I am not attempting to use Mail to move my custom pop mail (stored locally) to a subfolder/mailbox on iCloud. about 90% of the emails I attempt to move cause a "Cannot parse message" failure.

I have ample free iCloud space. These emails are not large.

If this error is due to certain characters, would it help to export them locally first and pre-process them with a script first?

I'll have to move my mail to some other cloud service if I cannot get this to work.

Thanks!

Just did more searching and found a hit that suggested quitting MAIL, then, while holding down the "SHIFT" key, re-open MAIL. I tried it, and it actually worked! When I tried to move the problem messages, they now moved as expected. The two messages I could not move were now able to be moved normally. I don't get it, but it worked!!
