My iPhone safety concern

yesterday someone doubted that my iPhone is not from istore and it’s not a 15 plus I tried showing her my about that displayed all my phone information,imei,serial number and model .she later took picture of all my about and send it to a friend that works for another mobile operator to prove a point…I later realize my phone information went to someone else and now they have it .i am worried about my phone safety.what should i do?

The proper answer to these is “no” or “nope” or “not interested” or “so what?” or “sorry, it’s an unannounced model and I really can’t talk about it” (and then immediately and furtively hide it).


Whoever that was is one of many people you will want to approach with heightened skepticism, too. (And that same list absolutely also includes us!)


Carriers can do rather more with an IMEI than most everybody else, beyond blacklisting, including tracking, and other shenanigans.


Do you have cryptocurrency or other similar fungible assets tied to your iPhone?
