I just signed up for Hulu on my Apple IPad. Using a debit card not Apple Pay. When I go on my TV under the app, it’s not allowing me to log in. Same email address and correct password. Any suggestions. Thank you. I am new to this Community site.

I hope this helps someone. I was able to fix this for my Hulu app on my Apple TV. The experience I was having was that I could use my password to log into the Hulu app on my iPhone and on the Hulu.com website. But when I tried to log in with that same password for the Hulu app on my Apple TV, it kept failing saying I had the wrong password. It’s weird because I was even using my iPhone to enter the password into the Hulu app on my my Apple TV, using the Paste function.
I recall having a similar issue months ago, when trying to log into the Disney+ app and it would log me out of Hulu. I’m not sure if you have the My Disney Experience (MDE) app (for visiting Disney World or Disneyland) but I do. So I tried to log onto the MDE app using the same password. And it failed. If you don’t have that app, maybe try to log into Disney.com. I was able to get into the MDE app to log me in via a one-time passcode since I didn’t know my password to MDE. Once in with the one-time passcode, I was able to go into my account on MDE and change the password. I changed it to the same password I still had in my iPhone clipboard, the password that worked consistently in the Hulu iPhone app and the Hulu.com website. Once that password change was done, I went back to the Hulu app on the Apple TV and once again used my iPhone to paste that same password into the password box in the Apple TV Hulu app and it logged me in.
I see the last update has been a while, but I just experienced the same very frustrating process today. I had to reload my Apple TV all of the other apps Paramount, Amazon, Netflix, Peacock, Disney, which owns Hulu Max all of them have a very simple logon process using your phone the app on your phone you log onto that which logged you into the Apple TV Hulu is the only one that’s causing all this problems Once I loaded that my Disney experience app it worked fine so this is just something that’s ridiculous and Apple should not allow their developers to do things like this so Disney’s goal is just to get that app on your phone or phone so that they can get more information about us.
Are you referring to the Hulu App on Apple TV 4K? Post a screenshot of the fail message please.

It just keeps saying user name and pssw are incorrect, I go on my pc and was able to log in no issues, logged in and out on my iPhone no issues did the same on my google devices no issues I was able to log in to Disney plus no issues
I am facing the same issue. Username/pw combo working online all other devices, appletv app suddenly not working and saying to check my email/pw. I have had this appletv for a while and it used to work
I am also having this issue. Has there been any resolution to this yet? Have we heard back from Apple Support? This is extremely frustrating. I've reset the Apple TV, I've deleted and reinstalled the Hulu app, I've shut down and brought the TV back up, nothing is helping. Everything is up to date, no updates pending.
I called Apple Support and they told me I had to speak to Hulu. I don’t know how Hulu will fix the issue since I can login in on my MacBook, iPhone, fire stick, and smart TVs. The only place I can’t log in to Hulu is on my Apple TV device, which is connected to non-smart TV. It keeps saying it’s the incorrect log in when I know both the email and password are correct.
I guess I will have to return to using the Hulu app on my iPhone and then casting it onto my tv through Apple TV.

Went into my Disney World app, used the forgot password to login via one time code. Then updated my password to match my normal Hulu password. And voila!

I know this makes no sense, but it actually worked, and I was about ready to yell & scream at someone over the phone; or, launch my Apple Remote at the TV, and then the Apple TV off the balcony, lol!
I don’t have Disney+ or Max. I’m not sure how to fix this. My password works on browser but not on the Hulu apple TV app. The entertainment companies need to figure out a better way to stream with multiple companies.
I just signed up for Hulu after a 2-year hiatus. Never had any problems during 2020-2023 but now, every time I try and login to my Hulu app on Apple TV I can't get passed entering my email to continue. I get a "JSON error" and cannot continue to add my password. I understand this is some type of Javascript error but don't understand it. Was on the phone with Hulu for over 2 hours unplugging my modem, TV, Apple TV, updating the Apple TV, resetting passwords on myDisney, and nothing works. As all of you, I can log into Hulu on my iPhone, iPad, and laptop with the same credentials. It's definitely not a Hulu problem if I can login to all other devices. Please HELP.
Yes I’m on the same boat just bought Apple TV to replace firestick and now it won’t let me log on to Hulu using the Apple TV
I’m experiencing the same issue. I just spent over an hour trying everything and have no issue logging in anywhere else. I’ve removed the app numerous times and restarted my Apple TV.
I'd like to know if there has been any resolution to this. Contacting hulu is not the awnser.
