Garageband opening in wrong display - FIXED

This was driving me crazy. I had attached a secondary display as an extended monitor on my mac. When using garageband, the menu would open on main screen, but whenever I clicked on a project it would open in the extended display. I spent hours trying to find a solution on the internet, no solution was working, and finally came across this old thread.

This worked, but note that you have to do this procedure with each individual project. 1) Open project. 2) Drag project to main screen. 3) Save project.

Now, next time you open the project, it will open in the display you saved it in.

Also, now that everything is set, each new project I create automatically defaults to the main display. Hope this helps!
