Buying online with student discount from another country

Hi! I'm from Colombia, and I'm planing to buy a MacBook Air using the student discount online, and have a friend pick up the Mac and bring it here. I've done the whole purchase process expecting to see where Apple can check that I'm a student, but they simply don't ask at all, and since it will be my friend and not me who will be picking up the pc, how can I prove that I'm a student? Or will my friend encounter a problem even though the pc will have already been paid?
